the 62nd name for god is al-mumit, the causer of death. most human beings fear death; most religions consider death an unpleasant, inevitable experience; few consider death something to be treasured. scripture teaches that as god’s saints, her children, our death is precious in her sight. our physical death brings us into her living presence. pray for the MNK not to fear death and eternity, but to live life knowing death brings us into god’s holy presence.
